Just don't watch Anne of Green Gables:The Continuing Adventures. Even with Meghan Follows it was just not worth it. Not only far from the books in plot, but also in spirit and time period. Now I have to go read them again. And the Emily books.
I love the Emily books even more than the Anne books. But i never understood Emily's fascination with Teddy instead of the dark, mysterious, and sarcastic Dean. I would've snapped Dean up in a heartbeat! Yum!
I think it was the age thing. Dean was a friend of her father's.
Plus, I mean, if you somehow bend the laws of time and space to save Teddy Kent from going to a watery grave: you'd have to assume that there's some sort of soul connection there--even if you WERE brought up by the very Victorian ladies of New Moon.
Well, you know, I've always felt that Ilse was WAAAAY too spirited for Teddy. Even when I first read the book when I was ten. I knew THEY wouldn't work out.
Maybe Em has a thing for the sensitive artist-type.

Ding ding! A winner! And you even provided the 'sour expression' bit, lovely you.
Aw....
Now I feel like watching it.
You should. You can even get it on DVD now, with commentary!
